Waiheke Distilling Co. is a multi-generational, family-owned and operated, award-winning boutique distillery and garden bar, located in the more remote eastern end of Waiheke.

We have been honoured to receive many international accolades across our craft gin and botanical vodka range. It is a privilege to showcase NZ native botanicals on a global stage and to draw on the rich legacy and terroir of Pikau Bay, which was the original home of hospitality on the island in the 1890's. Pikau means 'to take care', former pastureland has been converted into sprawling botanical gardens, where all our craft spirits are distilled and bottled on-site.

Be part of our journey, visit us for tastings, tours, fresh Mediterranean-inspired food, delicious cocktails, cellar door sales, live music and more. Open Wednesday-Sunday 11am-6pm or available to hire for bespoke, private celebrations, team building, corporate offsites, product launches and more.

Services

The distillery, restaurant and garden bar is open 11am-6pm Wednesday-Sunday and until 10pm on weekends by arrangement.
We offer venue hire for private and professional functions. Our setting is ideal to encourage 'blue-sky' thinking for corporate offsites.
Our personalised tours are a wonderful team-building experience as we guide you through the history of the area, our story, our craft spirits and recommended pairings, we'll undertake a botanical exploration, a tour of the stills and share a little of our spirit making craft.
The Mediterranean-inspired menu is designed to complement our craft spirits and delicious cocktails and can be tailored to group requirements.
We offer cellar dollar sales on all of our craft spirit collection.
The team have tour and experience packages to suit a range of budgets and timelines, however we find that once visitors arrive and see the breath-taking views and soak up our relaxed vibe that they don't want to leave!

Sustainability

Waiheke Distilling Co. has a strong sustainability ethos from our investment in a large spray-free, bee-friendly botanical garden and composting, to our design-led bottle design to encourage re-use, compostable packaging, minimal waste practices and the use of solar panels to provide power for the distillery and garden bar.
